SNV is implementing an exciting project in Agriculture in various provinces of Burundi. From April 2021, SNV Netherlands Development Organisation has been implementing an Embassy funded project called “Projet d’Appui au Développement Agricole pour la Nutrition et l’Entrepreneuriat (PADANE)” in Burundi. SNV, is looking for an intern for Finance and Administration Department who will be willing to work in the project to be based in Burundi.
Job Description
Functionally reporting to the Country Finance manager (Based in Kenya) and directly reporting to the Project Manager (Based in Burundi), the intern finance administrator will offer administrative and finance support to the project team mainly but will be called upon to oversee administrative support occasionally.
The intern will:
Support finance team to review financial report of the partners and Innovation Fund Grants,
Support finance team to make the payment lists (in Excel with a template of mobile cash payment) of participants in workshops,
Support finance team to file and archive accounting documents on share point,
Support finance team to verify supportive documents for petty cash,
Support finance team to scan documents related to finance,
Support finance team to prepare all documents required for audit.
Participate actively in the weekly payment processes.
Support the finance team in declaration processes of fiscal and social charges.
Filing financial and administrative documents into SharePoint
Assist on overseeing the proper recording and updating of assets in the inventory and asset insurance journal, as well as the management of office supplies and vehicles and overall coordination of all procurement-related activities necessary to support the activities of the project.
Ensure stock management and keeping inventory updated.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business management or related field
Experience:
Knowledge on writing reports, analysis, and production of reports.
Good interpersonal, communications, and facilitation skills.
Analytical knowledge including knowledge of Microsoft applications.
Language:
Fluent in French language (writing, Reading, and Listening)
Working knowledge of the English language
