The team, position & mission:
At Orange Business, we're searching for a passionate and dynamic Data Catalog Consultant to strengthen our Data Strategy & Governance team. If you're eager to dive into large-scale data projects within a stimulating and collaborative environment, this could be your dream job!
As a Data Catalog Consultant, you will be at the forefront of our data governance initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include:
Gathering Functional Requirements: Aligning with our overarching data strategy to collect and analyze essential requirements.
Defining Catalogue Structure: Crafting the catalogue structure and operating model, including defining roles and collaborative workflows.
Documenting Metamodels: Developing comprehensive documentation for the catalogue metamodel.
Template Preparation: Creating templates for business and IT users to enhance data catalog assets (business terms, data entities, data attributes, business rules, etc.).
Tool Upgrades: Planning and executing upgrades for data catalog tools.
User Training and Support: Organizing and supporting user training sessions and testing campaigns.
Future Growth:
This role offers exciting growth potential! Depending on opportunities and your interests, you could expand into broader data governance activities, such as data quality management or Master Data Management, and even engage in consulting activities.
As an ideal candidate you have:
Experience: 3 to 5 years in Data Management and 1 to 3 years leading catalogues (Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Data Galaxy, Talend Data Catalog…).
Passion for Data Governance: A strong interest in data governance topics.
Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational abilities and social adaptability.
Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
Personal Qualities: Rigor and pragmatism, perseverance with flexibility, and a positive, conciliatory attitude.
