Opportunité
We are looking for a Procurement Manager - Depot and Equipment Maintenance & Repair (EMR) to join our Ocean Procurement team, based in Cape Town, as part of our Ocean Customer Logistics and Global Procurement organization. You will be a part of a dynamic, exciting and transforming environment, with the ability to contribute to Maersk’s customer journey.
You will be responsible for ensuring an optimal utilization of the containers such as Depots and EMR that enables the execution of the commercial strategy, by procuring and developing the vendor portfolio that covers 16 countries in scope with a current footprint of 65 vendors and over + US 100 Mio yearly spend, all while driving an innovation mindset, promote digitization, and spar with different stakeholders on various procurement projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Overall responsible for optimizing the procurement spend across the Depot and EMR categories
Develop category strategy in alignment with OCL, Equipment and Area multi brand business plans
Enable sustainable and profitable growth through best-in-class sourcing, optimizing operational behaviors and supplier innovation.
Collaborate with other categories to develop holistic negotiation strategies to capitalize the highest benefit to APM Group
Manages procurement projects across a wide range of areas with responsibility and adherence to Compliance principles, including development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
Manage vendor relationships incl. performance management
Collaborate closely with colleagues and stakeholders in OCL, Global Procurement teams, Commercial multi brand areas, and other OCLs.
Perform supplier market analysis and organise market intelligence for categories in scope and benchmark APM Group’s costs with competition and ensure best operational cost.
Who we are looking for:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree;
3+ year experience in shipping preferred
Demonstrated project management capability
Comfortable with numbers
Expertise in financial modelling
Experience with digital procurement tools is preferred
Experience with ESG / environmental and sustainable procurement is a strong advantage
Excellent stakeholder management and communicator
Customer and process improvement mindset
Ambassador of company values and collaboration teamwork behaviors in a visible manner
Ability to exercise impact and influence without direct authority
Able to deal with ambiguity
Ability to drive motivation & engagement for yourself
