The Programme Associate for Nutrition will provide specialized technical and coordination support to nutrition evidence generation activities, including the design and implementation of assessments, pilots, and operational research under the Joint UN Initiative on Prevention (JUNIPR). S/he is expected to demonstrate responsibility and initiative to respond independently to various queries relating to country capacity strengthening and research initiatives. The role requires use of judgment in addressing operational challenges and coordinating resources effectively.
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Nutrition, the Programme Associate (SC6) shall report directly to the Programme Policy Officer, Nutrition, at the country office.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Provide technical and operational support for the implementation of nutrition-specific and sensitive programmes, particularly focused on evidence generation under JUNIPR.
2. Support planning, coordination, and implementation of research initiatives, assessments, pilots, and proof-of-concept activities.
3. Assist in data analysis, synthesis of findings, and preparation of reports, policy briefs, and knowledge products.
4. Coordinate with RAM, and other units, as well as external stakeholders including UN agencies and government.
5. Support project management including work plans, budgets, procurement, and administrative follow-up.
6. Participate in the review of partner proposals, budgets, and reports and contribute to partnership agreements and processes.
7. Organize and facilitate training sessions, learning events, and knowledge exchange with partners and counterparts.
8. Manage documentation and dissemination of good practices and lessons learned.
9. Monitor expenditures, financial reports, and donor reporting per approved work plans.
10. Act as focal point for operational issue resolution related to assigned tasks.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Completion of a University Degree (Bachelors) in Nutrition, social sciences, international development, public health etc.
Experience: Total 6 (six) years of experience in related area/programme.
Language: Fluency in spoken and written both in English and Bangla language.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
• Has experience of supervising or implementation of the nutrition or social science research
• Has experience of the implementation of food security or nutrition programmes.
• Prior experience with government or UN agencies in public health, nutrition, or development sectors.
• Has experience of capacity strengthening, e.g., training facilitation, on-the-job training, and technical supervision of partners' staff and/or government counterparts.
• Has working experience with the government counterpart, especially the nutrition-related ministries or departments
• Has demonstrated use of excellent professional English report writing.
