Working as a Chief Architect

Within Global Operations, the IT Operations department ensures that the SOC, CyberSOC and Global CERT teams have the best IT services in all our geographies.
IT Operations systems such as Ticketing, Monitoring, customer portals, automation tools (XSOAR), Devops tools, CI/CD chains and hybrid-cloud infrastructures are essential to achieve our ambitions.

The quality, robustness, scalability, flexibility, and high security guarantee of Orange Cyberdefense's digital capabilities require precise coordination of a multitude of components. This necessitates having an end-to-end architectural, technical, and operational view.

As the Chief Architect – Technical Urbanist, you will be responsible for ensuring the urbanization and end-to-end technical coherence of these capabilities, both for the target and for the progressive transformation towards the target.

You will guarantee the relevance of technical, tactical, and strategic choices made, not solution by solution as a technical architect would, but for the entire information system of Global Operations as a whole. This includes ensuring the proper assembly of different technical blocks, their independence over time, the ability to monitor the functioning or malfunctioning of the whole, and the quality of the assembly that cements the blocks together.

More broadly, the technical urbanist will have the permanent objective of translating the operations strategy or business needs from Product Owners, and their evolutions into technical orientations that ensure the quality of the information system, the responsiveness of implementations to needs, and cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities:

Contributing to the development of a technical vision and strategy for operations, formalizing and proactively disseminating it to architects and project managers.
Leading the architecture and urbanization activities of the operations information system.
Supporting projects, both technical and business, to integrate them as early as possible into the overall urbanization.
Propose scenarios for technical evolution and simplification, considering issues related to the evolution of the offer, changing needs, organizational constraints, etc.
Promote architecture requirements and recommendations to technical and business departments through advisory, support, and communication actions.
Work in close and permanent relation with the technical managers of the IS, technical and functional architects, and business departments
Why are we talking to you?

Proven experience (at least 10 years) in end-to-end technical architecture and urbanization of large-scale distributed information systems, with excellent anticipation of needs.
Great ease with service platform technologies and good mastery of technical standards for all system components (network, cloud, storage, operating systems, processing, data, applications, analytics, etc.).
Expertise and operational practice of major data services (Relational, NoSQL, stream processing, etc.) and cloud.
Experience in information system security, preferably distributed, with a strong awareness of fundamental and systematic security principles.
Strong experience of working on IT Transformation projects.
Working in real Agile organisation, from business to operational.
Leadership and communication skills,particularly in a cross-functional positioning, and you know how to lead complex negotiations.
Transversal management: as Chief Architect you will manage the community of architects and technical experts of the entity.
Full proficiency in English language skills ( Written & Verbal )
